Living Life

Life can be joyful, complicated, fulfilling, and challenging all at the same time. The blessings and joy we experience can be immeasurable when we interweave the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout our everyday lives. We don't just live the gospel on Sundays or holidays in a chapel. The gospel is an integral part of our lives whether picnicking at a park, working, attending school, playing sports, camping, gardening, celebrating, doing service for others, participating in gospel worship, or learning at church.

Elder Richard J. Maynes taught (October 2015, The Joy of Living a Christ-Centered Life) that "If our lives are centered in Jesus Christ, He can successfully mold us into who we need to be in order to return to His and Heavenly Father’s presence in the celestial kingdom. The joy we experience in this life will be in direct proportion to how well our lives are centered on the teachings, example, and atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ."

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides resources to help us, our families, friends and communities become stronger, more self-reliant and prepared along the way. We believe that we can all have a better life, and that God will help us. We like to say that our gospel study, education, personal improvement and self-reliance are "home centered and church supported". There are local church programs to teach and assist children, youth, single adults, men and women. Please explore this website, links, and the official website of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to learn more about these programs that are designed to help us live and love life.
